UNIVERSITY OF HONG KONG
Office of the Vice-Chancellor
13th. September, 1938.
141
Dear Sir,
Reference your letter R/D 5466, dated 4th August 1938.
This University, and especially its English Department,
would most willingly do anything to facilitate your holding
examinations in English for foreign students in Hong Kong and,
if they are held at convenient times, in other centres in South
China. My colleague Professor Simpson, Professor of English, is
of opinion that an examination centre in Hong Kong would serve a
good purpose. You may therefore proceed, if you decide to go on
with the scheme, on the assumption that we shall give any assistance
that we can.
J.0. Roach, sq.,
Syndicate Buildings,
CAMBRIDGE.
Yours faithfully,
[signed] D.J. SLOSS
Vice-Chancellor.
